First period: Your final will be a compare and contrast essay on two novels or two short stories. It wil be due on Tuesday, June 24th. I will allow one final make-up for the following four essays only - they are:
1. "Another Country"
2. "The L.A. Notebook" by Joan Didion
3. " Man Against the Darkness" by W.T. Stace
4. THE GREAT GATSBY
These will be due on Friday, June 13th. Sorry, I won't accept them on the 16th or thereafter. These essays are already about a month late as they are and this is an attempt to help you pass this class at least with a C.
Your Unit 9 vocabulary is due this Tuesday, June 10th.

2nd - 3rd Period: Your final will be a literary analysis of TO KILL A MOCKING BIRD. You will work on your rough draft in class and you will turn in each paragraph to be graded by me.You will receive two grades per paragraph - one for writing, the other for content. Since this is a seven paragraph essay, the rough draft alone will generate about fourteen grades. You will make the corrections and then turn in the final draft along with the rough draft and the reading log on June 24th. I will not accept a final draft if you have not been submitting rough drafts of your paragraphs to me first.

4th Period: Same as the above but you are reading Always Running so your literary analysis will be on Always Running.

5th Period: Keep memorizing! If you have completed your first scene, then find a second one, get it approved by me and get to work. Don't forget to do your character bio and turn into me upon completion of your scene.
