Schedule for
GYPSY
April 5th - 9th


Monday:
6th Period: Crews will briefly meet for reports. Mr. Itkin will work on “The Goodbye Scene” with Herbie, Rose, Louise, Tessie; Ms. Bridges and Mr. Sacks will alternate working with Farmboys, Newsboys, Strippers, Showgirls, Hollywood Blondes.
7th Period: Mr. Itkin and Ms. Bridges will work on scenes 4 and 5 with Louise, Rose, Pastey, Cigar, Rene, and Couchon-Bergeron. We will also work on blocking the Tulsa dance scene with Tulsa, Louise, Yonkers. Ms. Goldschein will work with Farmboys, Newsboys, Strippers until 4:30. Everyone will meet in the auditorium for sign-out.

6th Period: Crews will briefly meet for reports. We will begin run-throughs. If you are not being used, go to Mr. Sacks for singing.
7th Period: Ms. Goldschein will work with Tulsa and Enissa, and Newsboys if there is time. Ms. Bridges will work with Newsboys, Farmboys, Hollywood Blondes. Mr. Itkin will work on Act 1, Sc. 1, the “Jocko Scene”; Act 1, Sc. 2, the “Dad Scene”; Act 2, Sc. 4 “The Transformation Scene” and Act 2, Sc. 5, “The Showdown Scene” between Rose and Louise. Mr. Itkin and Ms. Bridges will work with Rose on Act 2, Sc. 5, the final “Breakdown Scene”. Everyone will meet in the auditorium for sign-out.

6th Period: Crews will briefly meet for reports. We will continue run-throughs. If you are not being used, go see Mr. Sacks for singing.
7th Period: Ms. Goldschein will work with Tulsa, Yonkers, and Enissa until 4:30. We will continue run-through of play working around those scenes with Herbie. Everyone will meet in the auditorium for sign-out.

6th Period: Crews will briefly meet for reports. We will work on selected scenes. If you are not being used then please report to Mr. Sacks for singing.
7th Period: Ms. Goldschein will work with Tulsa, Yonkers, Enissa, and Newsboys if there is time. Ms. Bridges and Mr. Itkin will work with selected actors and scenes as needed.

Shakey’s Pizza Night Fund Raiser! 5 to 8 pm at Shakey’s on Santa Monica.

Crews will briefly meet for reports. We will reviews selected scenes.

Progress reports are coming out this Thursday. It is incumbent upon you to maintain a “C” average in order to be eligible.

Hamlet Act 2, Scene 1: In this scene Polonius is giving instructions to his servant Reynaldo to spy on Laertes, his son, in Paris. (Again, note the theme of spying) Polonius is giving Reynaldo money to give to his son, but tells him to “to make inquire of his behavior”. “Inquire me first what Danskers are in town….” This is an example of elision or omission of words (words are intentionally left out to insure the lines scan in iambic pentameter.) What word or words are left out?
