FOR 9TH GRADE HONORS CLASS
NOVEMBER 29TH

Good morning, scholars! Hope your Thanksgiving vacation was fun, frolicsome and festive.

Now back to work!

Monday, November 29th:

1st Period:

We will set sail today and begin The Trojan War Adventure, parts 1, 2, 3, and 4.

Your exercise 2 on your verb handouts is due. Please go on to exercise 3 in the same handout.

6th Period:

I will give you back your rough drafts. Your final drafts with your reading logs will be due on Wednesday, December 1st.


Tuesday, November 30th:

1st Period:

We will continue working on The Trojan War, parts 1, 2. 3, and 4.

1st and 6th Period:

Please bring your English Workshop. I will assign page 167 - 168; the oh so fun ”Noun Clauses”. This thrilling assignment will be due on Thursday, December 2nd.

6th Period:

We will set sail for Troy today and begin the Trojan Adventure! Parts 1, 2, 3 and 4!

Wednesday, December 1st! The Homestretch!

1st Period:

Today we will meet in room 502 so that you can type your final draft of your persuasive essay into the Vantage program.

Your grammar homework is due today. If you don’t remember, check out Tuesday’s agenda.

6th Period:

Continue rowing towards Troy!
Thursday, December 2nd:

1st and 6th Period:

We will meet in the library so that you can meet with your counselor. Please bring your English Workshop; you will be assigned pages 169 - 172; “Sentence Structure”, exercise 8, “Chapter Review”, exercises A, B, and C. This will be due
on Friday, December 3rd.


Friday, December 3rd:

We will begin The Odyssey at last! We will find ourselves lying face down in the surf where the lovely Princess Nausicaa will find us and take us to the court of her father. There we will hear the story of Odysseus - told in flashback!
