NOVEMBER 8TH
ACTING CLASS


Monday, November 8th:

Warm ups: physical and vocal.

Journal: Do a biographical sketch of your character. Write about the first five years of your character’s life. This should be at least one page.

Work with your partner. Read the scene aloud at least three times completely through with your partner. Get up and move around. How would your character walk?

Tuesday, November 9th:

Warm ups: physical and vocal.

Journal: Write about your character’s school life. Write at least one paragraph about your elementary school years, and at least one paragraph each about your middle school years and your high school years.

Work with your partner. Read the scene aloud at least four times completely through with your partner. Get up and start moving around. Start rudimentary blocking. When, where and why would your character move?

Wednesday, November 10th:

Warm-ups: sense and emotion memory exercises.

Journals: Write about your character’s college years if s/he went to college. If not, then, write about the jobs s/he has held over the years. Discuss her/his employers, her/his fellow employees. Is s/he a good worker? Why or why not? Discuss her/his current job. This should be about one page in length.

Work with your partner. Read the scene four times aloud with your partner and with movement.
Thursday, November 11th, Veterans’ Day:

No school today! Yeah! So spend the day in gratitude to those soldiers who have fought and are still fighting for the ideals of freedom and democracy.

Friday, November 12th:
