Wednesday, May 30th:

Watch the first half hour of “A Very Long Engagement”.
Read and discuss ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT.
Homework for tonight: Read two chapters of ALL QUIET.


Thursday, May 31st:

Read excerpts from Tim O’Brien’s THE THINGS THEY CARRIED.
Read and discus ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT.
Homework for tonight: Finish reading ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT.

Friday, June 1st:

Read T.S. Eliot’s “The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock”.

The week of June 4th - 8th we will be in the library doing research for the senior project. There will be a presentation before a small panel of teachers; the date has not been set. The research paper will be due on Monday, June 11th.

For the week of June 11th - 15th we will read Albert Camus’ THE STRANGER and “The Myth of Sisyphus.”
