June 18th, 2007 Weekly Schedule for AP English Literature Monday, June 18th: Congratulations to the cast and crew on a great production of A CHORUS LINE! Now, on to something completely different: Today, we will determine who and in what order students are going to present their senior projects. We will begin presenting on Tuesday in about ten minute intervals. We will continue on Wednesday and Thursday. One or two of you who are not planning on going to Grad night said that you would like to do yours on Friday. The presentations will be in room #508. If you need anything special, please make plans TODAY to procure it. Ms. Kono, Ms. Cavalli, and quite possibly your favorite teacher, Mr. Itkin, may be present. You need to be finished with your five page research paper and bibliography by today, Monday. JUNE 11, 2007 Schedule for AP Literature Monday, June 11th: Continue research in the library. Tuesday, June 12th: Shortened day! Continue research in the library. Wednesday, June 13th: Back in #508. You should have five sources: At least two different books by different authors One from a journal, an article, or a newspaper One from an internet source You should have correct MLA formation for the sources. You can find how to do the correct MLA formation in the TEN STEPS TO WRITING A RESEARCH PAPER. You should also have the information you are going to use in your research paper already written out or printed out. The information can be on note cards or paper, but you should have them available to you with the page numbers and bibliographic information. The bibliographic information for a book or a journal includes the author’s name, title of the book, article, name of the journal, the publishing house, city and copyright date. June 4th Weekly Schedule for AP Literature English Monday, June 4th: Finish reading All Quiet on the Western Front. Read excerpts from The Things They Carried. Tuesday, June 5th: Read “The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock” by T. S. Eliot. Pass out Albert Camus’ The Stranger and “The Myth of Sisyphus”. Wednesday, June 6th: We will be meeting the next five days in the library to do research on the Senior Project. Thursday, June 7th: Continued research on the Senior Project. Friday, June 8th: Continued research on the Senior Project.
