NOVEMBER 5TH - 9TH
WEEKLY SCHEDULE
FOR
AP ENGLISH

Monday, November 5th:

Good morning scholars and artists! Wake-up! I know you’re tired with all these rehearsals!

Today we will do the multiple choice questions on John Keats’ “On the Sonnet.”

And we will collect Unit 2 from your vocabulary book.

We will go back into the misty past and read a little bit - and I do mean a little bit - of Chaucer’s THE CANTERBURY TALES, which was written in Middle English, not Olde English - if I were a really mean teacher, I’d make you translate it! However, some kind soul did that for us so we don’t have to.

Tuesday, November 6th:

Today we will continue our foray into the misty past and read a bit about the earthy characters who are making their way on a pilgrimage.

We may, if the xerox machine is up and running, do a very fun exercise on parallelsim or some other fun grammar thing I just happen to cook up! (Can you tell these late night rehearsals are getting to Ms. Bridges too?) This will be due on Thursday - yeah, right!

Wednesday, November 7th:

Today we will begin the most exciting adventure of all - experiencing and exploring the glorious Dane himself - HAMLET!

Ms. Bridges has a surprise for you today!

Thursday, November 8th:

Today we will be in the auditorium getting ready for the production of THE IMAGINARY INVALID! Today can be a catch-up day where you work on outstanding work - in both meanings of the word - any essays you haven’t finished, vocabulary or that fun grammar assignment!

Friday, November 9th:

Today Ms. Bridges has a surprise. It has to do with HAMLET.
