Brief discussion of Elizabeth Bishop’s “Pink Dog” and some final thoughts on OEDIPUS.
Pass out “Unscrambling Adverbial Clauses”. This will be due on Wednesday, November 19th.
Read ENGLAND IN LITERATURE: Christopher Marlowe; pages 265 and 266.
Tuesday, November 18th:
Shortened Day!
Break into groups of four, choose five vocabulary words from Unit 2, create a song and dance number or a skit using the words and conveying the meaning of the words. You will have about fifteen minutes of class time to work on this with your group. These will be presented on Friday, November 21st.
Continue reading and studying Marlowe, using booklet from the Mark Taper Forum.

Begin reading an excerpt from Chaucer’s THE CANTERBURY’S TALE (ENGLAND IN LITERATURE; pages 97 - 112.) Break into groups, read, summarize and present to the rest of the class.
