OCTOBER 25th - OCTOBER 29th WEEKLY AGENDA FOR AP ENGLISH LITERATURE


Monday, October 25th:

Go over homework. Students will share their detective work in unearthing the figurative language, literary devices and vocabulary hidden in Part 3, chapters 1 and 2 in CRIME and PUNISHMENT.

For homework, read Part 3, chapter 3 and unearth from your reading at least three examples of figurative language or literary devices and at least three vocabulary words PLUS their definitions.


Tuesday, October 26th:

Shortened day!

Share your discoveries from Part 3, chapter 3 in class.

For homework, read Part 3, chapter 4 and excavate at least three examples of figurative language and/or literary devices and at least three vocabulary words PLUS their definitions.


Wednesday, October 27th:

Share the results of your forensic work on Part 3, chapter 4 in class. Read portions of chapter four aloud in class.

For homework, read Part 3, chapter 5 and ANSWER THE QUESTIONS over this chapter. This is an important chapter and reveals the meat of Dostoevsky’s theme and argument.


Thursday, October 28th:

Share your discoveries from Part 3, chapter 5 in class. Read portions of this chapter aloud in class. Discussion over this chapter.


Friday, October 29th:

When we are finished with Part 3, chapter 5, we will move onto Part 3, chapter 6 and excavate from the chapter at least three examples of figurative language and/or literary devices and at least three vocabulary words PLUS their definitions.


For homework, finish Part 3, chapter 6 and Part 4, chapter 1, and find from each chapter excavate at least three examples of either figurative language and/or literary devices and at least three vocabulary words PLUS their definitions. We will share the result of our forensic work in class on Monday, November 1st.
