One Girl's Senior Project MAY 30, 2011 - JUNE 3, 2011 WEEKLY AGENDA FOR A.P. ENGLISH LITERATURE Monday, May 30th: No school! Tuesday, May 31st: Go to library to do research. Wednesday, June 1st: Present proposal letter with proposed thesis project Continue research in #503 Thursday, June 2nd: Continue research in #503 Friday, June 3rd: Present bibliography in #503 Over the weekend begin work on first draft Monday, June 6th: Library Tuesday, June 7th: Present minimum seven page first draft of research paper, including bibliography page Wednesday, June 8th: Revise first draft Thursday, June 9th: Revise first draft Friday, June 10th: Present final draft Monday, June 13th: Begin presentations Must dress "business casual" Must have power point May have index cards to refer to during presentations (do not read from them or power point) The presentation must be a maximum of ten minutes in length We may go through nutrition We may go through lunch Tuesday, June 14th: Continue pre...

Senior Project You will choose a topic from a group of topics that I will supply to you. You may select a topic, which is not on the list; however, I have to approve it. The following is an example of topics you will be supplied: The impact of Edgar Allen Poe on the French symbolist movement: particularly on Rimbaud. Feminism in Gustov Flaubert’s MADAME BOVARY The rise of the feminist writers such as Kate Chopin Determinism in MADAME BOVARY Feminism in THE SCARLET LETTER The supernatural in THE SCARLET LETTER The Impact of Romantic Literature on the Transcendentalism Movement in the U.S. If you choose MADAME BOVARY, you need to read the book! You must also access three other sources regarding the book: either three different books discussing MADAME BOVARY (critical analysis/critical commentary on the book); or two books and a journal; or one book, a journal and an internet source).
