Weekly Agenda for A.P. English
Monday, November 28th:
Go over Act 1, Scene 2 of HAMLET
Go over homework: Write down as many examples of metaphors, similes, personification, allusion and imagery as you can find in Act 1, Scene 2 (minimum of three each). Identify the device and then translate the phrase into contemporary English.
Watch Act 1, Scene 2 of Kenneth Branagh's HAMLET.
For homework: read Act 1, Scene 3 and identify a minimum of three examples each of metaphor, simile, personification, imagery and allusion, and translate into contemporary English.
Tuesday, November 29th:
Go over Act 1, Scene 3.
Draw an illustration (you can use stick figures) of the following lines:

Thursday, December 1st:
Go over Act 1, Scene 5
Watch Kenneth Branagh's HAMLET
Break into groups of four and create a tableaux of one of the following scenes: Scene 1, or Scene 2, or Scene 3, or Scene 4 or Scene 5. Choose two scenes you would like to do, and submit the two to me. Who gets to do which scenes will be determined on a "first come, first serve" basis.
Friday, December 2nd:
Your Act 1 test is due today.
Perform your tableaux today.
Watch HAMLET.
