Read the death of Marmeladov; discussion
For tonight, write a one page (minimum) analysis on the death of Marmeladov and the aftermath in Katerina's flat. Pay particular attention to the attitude of the police and the carriage driver, Katerina's behavior, her interaction with the priest and the neighbors, Raskolnikov's scene with the little girl and his attitude immediately following it. You may also note the use of humor and irony in these scenes.
For homework tonight: Please make sure you have read through Parts 3 and 4 and be current on the CRIME and PUNISHMENT essays.
