Monday, May 1st:

Pass out  the Jupiter passwords
Go over the last four pre-A.P. test assignments:
"Existentialism" by Jean Paul Sartre
"Man Against the Darkness" by W.T. Stace 
"The Christian Commitment" by Reinhold Niebuhr
A Streetcar Named Desire Essay
A Streetcar Named Desire Reading Logs 

Go over the senior project  assignments

Tuesday, May 2nd:  
 
Reviewed important points regarding the A.P. exam:
Answer all the multiple choice questions!
Look for the one answer that is different from the other four in those questions dealing with “Except”
Choose your favorite letter of the day if you run out of time – “C” is a good option statistically!

For the essay:
Answer the entire prompt!
Write – a lot!
Use snippets of quotations to support your points!
Always reference the excerpt
Use strong verbs, adverbs, and adjectives in your writing.
Try to imitate the tone of the excerpt you are analyzing
Embed the quotations in the fabric of your essay

For tonight: review two books or plays you read that you loved or were moved by  to prepare for the free response  section of the test.

Get a good night’s sleep!
Eat breakfast!

Thursday, May 4th: 
Debrief day!  

Friday, May 5th: 
Next week, Monday – Friday, May 8th – 12th, we will be in the library.
Monday and Tuesday, May 8th and May 9th, Ms. Whitham will review MLA format, research, note taking and work citation
Wednesday – Friday, May 10 – May 12th, you will be doing research
Thursday, May 11th your letter of intent is due.
May 19th  the following will be due:
Twenty note cards
Work cited page
Your seven page research paper with work cited page
Your powerpoint, slide show, or prezzi
Everything must be turned into turnitin.com
May 22nd – May 26th: presentation of your senior project with either slide show, power point, or prezzi.
