Topics for research papers
Off topics – abortion, animal abuse, concussions, legalization of pot!
The research paper should be a minimum of seven pages
Twenty-five note cards

Six sources – reputable journals, books, reputable newspapers, professional documentaries, primary sources, websites from social activists groups, government agencies, universities, research groups, etc.
Do not use Wikipedia or google
Bibliography page – Work cited page 

Letter of Intent:
The topic of your research paper
Your interest in the subject – why you have selected this particular topic
What and where are you going to find your research
Definition of plagiarism and why it is wrong to plagiarize
The promise that you will not plagiarize!!!!

You will present your presentation to the class in the last week and a half of class.
Must have seven slides
You will present your slides in front of the class,  speaking without notes, and dressed in business casual attire

Continued conferences with students on their topics.  Once topic is approved, students must write and submit their "Letter of Intent" to schoology.

Resources: I would look at certain advertising campaigns from companies with a social message and gauge the consumers reaction.
